Lead Laboratory Technologist (2008 – 2014)

Oversee team of 11 Lab Technologists responsible for testing blood for diseases including HIV and
Hepatitis. As Lead Lab Technologist, supervise day-to-day operations on eight-hour shift, scheduling all
staff and optimizing the use of our resources. Manage testing procedures and ensure that all equipment is
in working order. Act in both a hands-on capacity performing tests and in a management function, leading
and motivating the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead team to ensure that testing is performed accurately and efficiently and meets required standards.
Identify potential problems/errors in testing and implement corrective actions. Efficiently address
equipment/instrument problems and perform trouble-shooting. Document equipment maintenance.
Communicate with management and Quality Control re: testing delays, problems, or discrepant results.
