This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing organization as a co-operative education student or intern and a great opportunity to introduce yourself to a local employer of choice.

Our Systems team is responsible for information systems and technology initiatives including our PC networks, software and internal banking system. As part of this placement you will be responsible for developing a variety of applications to streamline existing workflows and to improve the exchange of data between our frontline Sales team and back office Operations team. The specifications such as user interfaces, input field validation, database fields, output requirements, etc. for each application will be defined in advance; allowing the successful candidate to focus on writing and testing the applicable code and backend database design.

The development priorities are generally described as dynamic online forms (accessible through a corporate intranet) which require writing and reading Microsoft SQL databases to satisfy complex business reporting processes. The application design would also allow for the future integration as a shell enabled applications running in a proprietary Windows-based customer relationship management (CRM) application or a general accounting application?s payroll module.

The successful candidate will work alongside a Business Analyst and other key stakeholders from across the organization to ensure that your development efforts satisfy the end users? specifications while adhering to quality assurance standards and data security best practices.

Experience in developing applications in a Microsoft environment relying on Windows 7, Server 2008/2012, SQL 2008/2012 and MS-IIS is important. Programming experience should include C#, ASP.NET MVC, VBScript, JavaScript, T-SQL and the use of XML and JSON. Knowledge of API design and interfacing would be considered a strong asset.

The successful candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science degree. The successful individual must demonstrate strong organization, communication and customer service skills. This individual must be highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
