Role Description:
The Purchasing & Inventory Controller is responsible for ordering inventory, negotiating with vendors to receive the best possible price for material, maintaining inventory levels, conducting accurate counting of inventory, investigate, and resolve shortages or overages, and reconcile discrepancies.

Additionally, the Purchasing & Inventory Controller will maintain accurate records and review with the Chief Financial Officer irregularities found, root causes, and actions taken to resolve.

* Order equipment and material for upcoming installations and service work; ensuring purchases are for the best possible price

* Monitor and maintain sufficient inventory levels to ensure work is performed efficiently

* Record purchases, maintain database, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.

* Receive, unpack, and deliver goods; re-stock items as necessary.

* Process and document return of parts under warranty as required following established procedures.

* Audit process documents to ensure accuracy; maintain database as necessary.

* Update database with new product details as necessary.

* Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting coordinators with installations and service work.

* Assist in research & development projects to source new technology to meet upcoming consumer demand, improve efficiencies and/or lower unit costs.

* Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* Enjoys technology
* Highly organized
* Extremely detailed oriented
* Strong quantitative analysis skills
* Ability to negotiate and seek the best pricing for equipment and materials
* Database management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
* Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
* Ability to analyze, solve problems and prepare administrative paperwork
* Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs
* Ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written) required
* Ability to follow written and oral procedures and instructions
* Prior experience in Customer Service, Purchasing, or Inventory Control preferred
