Description

Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager to join a progressive and growing company. As part of the Information Technology team, you will support the growth of the different business platforms within the organization and the execution of the Company’s strategic plan.

Responsibilities:
• Build and manage integrated project plans addressing scope, effort, cost, schedule, approach and milestones for technology solutions, ensuring all participating business and IT teams fulfill their commitments.
• Manage custom development application projects that deliver IT solutions to our business partners.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget in collaboration with all respective IT disciplines.
• Escalate issues that may affect project schedule and cost and implementation of change management where appropriate.
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
• Contribute and support project monitoring and control processes, with continuous improvement of project management practices and processes.
• Provide input and assist in the creation of resource, project, and financial plans in support of annual IT operating plan.
• Manage contractual agreements with third parties and ensure commitments are fulfilled according to terms and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with IT Project Documentation Standards and support internal audit of IT Projects.
• Facilitate creation of all project support plans including training, test, implementation, conversion and deployment.
• Facilitate communication and negotiation within project teams and internal and external stakeholders.
• Recommend, implement and ensure use of industry standards and best practices.
• Compile and complete project evaluations and assessment of results from stakeholder input.
• Assist in the PMO level portfolio reporting as measured against the operating plan.

Qualifications:
• University Computer Science Degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). PMP certification is an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience focused on delivery of development projects with current technologies and repeatable system development methodologies
• Expert knowledge of project management processes, risk management and financial analysis concepts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business systems and all IT processes involved in custom solution development.
• An accomplished Facilitator with excellent interpersonal and communications skills in order to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multiple location team environments.
• Familiar with multiple system development methodologies for custom and off-the-shelf solutions.
• Preferred experience with Mobile technology delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and negotiate with multi-disciplinary, multi-location teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables on schedule and on budget.
• Organized individual with ability to prioritize and manage multiple IT projects at the same time.
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiating and influencing skills.
• Ability to delivery concise transparent timely communication tailored to audiences at multiple levels within the organization.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work independently.
• Expert skills in MSOffice products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Experience working with Agile Software Development.
• Experience working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
