Position Purpose

Serving as our in-house IT specialist within a long term position. Functions include coordinating between the organization and external vendors and contractors about IT related infrastructure and development, and consulting with managers, office staff, and employees to resolve issues that may arise while advising to solve issues and suggest potential fixes or improvements. The individual must be professional, trustworthy, responsive, and contain relative IT knowledge backed with an education in an IT related field.

Process [es]
• Develop a software / hardware preventative maintenance plan
• Follow up and monitor maintenance plan
• Document all computers (new and present). This includes: I.P addresses, port number, computer name, software installed, software versions, passwords, logins etc. For ISO certification (Plant 1 &2)
• On call availability for major issues
• Creation of work instructions / secure documents (how to login to computers, how to change settings etc.)
• Contact outside vendors / I.T firm(s) about issues with server / network
• Research outside vendors to solve I.T issues
• Set-up new computers / work stations (Plant 1 & 2)
• Train employees on hardware / software use (Plant 1 & 2)
• Proactive tasks / research new technology to improve business operations
• Cleaning / repairing computer hardware (Plant 1 & 2)
• Solve computer issues for employees (hardware / software) (Plant 1 & 2)
• Protect sensitive information / data from infiltration through the use encryption and anti-virus programs
• Maintain onsite / offsite storage
• Maintain FTP file transfer system
• Administrative duties for office staff / management
• Check integrity / completion of backups
• Create / maintain RFID cards
• Create list(s) of computer hardware and components to be purchased by purchaser (new computers or for preventative maintenance)
• Track computer issues / network issues
• Establish company intranet for document control of ISO forms
• Create reports using Crystal reports, or similar to access data from ERP system

Required Skills
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft office
• Knowledge of windows business server 2008 or older
• Knowledge of windows exchange server 2013
• SQL database experience
• Experience with Linux operating systems
• Computer hardware and software knowledge

Recommended Skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft excel
• ERP system knowledge
• VoIP system setup and maintenance
• SQL statement experience
• “Crystal Report” experience
Key Performance Indicators
• Completion of maintenance schedule / program
• Information gathered / researched on IT improvements or technology
• Completion of computer data backup audits
• Completion of all required tasks
