We are seeking an individual to serve as a IT Quality Assurance Tester in our Windsor office.
The Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for multiple testing activities for large and complex software applications. The ideal candidate is skilled in different testing methodologies, has the ability to interpret business requirements into tangible test suites and have the ability to problem solve and remove obstacles that prevent testing progress. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and communication skills. Strong knowledge of procedures and methodologies in the areas of Quality Assurance would be a requirement. The Quality Assurance Tester assures that the software application functions according to the departmental standards and defined client requirements.

This position reports directly to the Supervisor, IT Quality Assurance.

• Document test cases based on detail requirements documentation for all types of testing methods
• Conduct various testing methodologies using both manual and automated testing tools
• Create and maintain test scripts for data setup and manipulation
• Document defects related to testing completed
• Participate in root cause defect analysis
• Ensure established testing processes are followed
• Ensure completion and accuracy of testing documentation
• Provide time estimates for testing assignments when requested
• Track and report on testing process metrics
• Participate in requirement review sessions and provide relevant feedback

• Community College Information Technology Certificate, or equivalent
• Extensive experience testing various computer software applications
• Requires good or excellent problem solving/investigational skills
• Requires organization and time management skills
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills and emphasis on accuracy
• Requires good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others in team situations
• Must be able to work under pressure to meet project deadlines, without compromising quality.
• Working knowledge of the SDLC
• Demonstrated experience with multiple testing methodologies
• Working knowledge of TFS or equivalent test case and bug tracking tools
• Demonstrated experience with developing and running SQL queries at a basic level
