Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Client Support, we are looking for a highly motivated, results oriented person to fill a position as a IT Business Analyst. The IT Business Analyst’s role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of internal and external clients. This includes interacting with stakeholders and gathering requirements to convey to the Client Support team throughout the software development lifecycle ensuring that deliverables are met according to specifications. The IT Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support existing applications and services provided by the Client Support team.

· Collaborate with business units, the Client Support team and other IT staff to determine the requirements to meet business needs.
· Translate business unit requirements into clear, accurate and concise functional requirements. Create models, specifications, diagrams and charts to be used by the Client Support team in developing software solutions.
· Collaborate with the Client Support team and other IT resources throughout the software development lifecycle; enforcing and redefining requirements where necessary.
· Participate on project teams to deliver enhancements to system components supported by Client Support.
· Provide support of existing applications and services provided by the Client Support team.
· Investigate and troubleshoot problems. Collaborate with business units to determine root cause and appropriate functional solutions. Interact with Client Support team in the implementation of the solution and communicating with business units as required.
· Create business process mapping, as-is/to-be gap analysis and build documentation.

University degree or College diploma in the field of Information Technology or equivalent.
· Minimum of 3 years of Information Technology experience in a environment involving large complex systems and custom application development.
· Demonstrated facilitation and consultative skills.
· Demonstrated proficiency with relational databases (experience with Oracle databases and SQL scripting).
· Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise business intelligence products (experience with Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau).
· Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:
o Business Objects reporting
o Creating data Cubes or data sets for analysis.
o BI solutions and documenting BI solution requirements
o BA methodology and procedures
o Structured methodology for the identification of user requirements
o Identifying and driving continuous process improvements
o Utilizing SharePoint
· Understanding of business modelling and techniques/tools
· Extensive experience with office automation products such as Microsoft Office.
· Solid understanding and proven experience in requirements definition and management techniques including business process, use case, work flow and data modelling.
· Proven analytical abilities and able to understand system architecture and the integration of system components.
· Experience managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
· Highly developed planning, organizing and negotiating skills.
· Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Bilingual French/English would be an asset.
