We are looking for IT Business Analysts for our Windsor or Toronto offices.

The IT Business Analyst is the primary contact between projects and business partners. They are a skilled analyst responsible for gathering requirements for complex technology initiatives, and ensure that all business requirements are satisfied throughout all phases of a project. They must be able to support production systems where required. This position will report to the Manager, Business Analysis, Information Technology.

Overview of Responsibilities

· Facilitate communication with business representatives to determine clear understanding of business problems.
· Responsible for understanding current and future processes, including processes for the entire enterprise.
· Analyze business problems and define conceptual and detail requirements for resulting technology solutions utilizing various modeling techniques.
· Develop detail requirements, implementation plans and conversion plans. Participate in developing project plans, test plans, training plans and deployment plans.
· Responsible for execution of implementation, conversion and aspects of test and deployment plans.
· Work closely with test team to determine test scenarios and test cases.
· Work closely with technical team to determine integration and performance testing requirements.
· Responsible for ensuring coverage of requirements and test scenarios.
· Develop an awareness of industry business trends and best practices.
· Analyze and troubleshoot production system problems effectively.
· Perform data analysis using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
· Works closely with developers and the technical support team to resolve production support issues.

Competencies and Qualifications

· University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
· Minimum of 3 years of Information Technology experience for custom systems and implementation on large, complex projects.
· Demonstrated facilitation and consultative skills.
· Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly developed planning, organizing and negotiating skills.
· Experience managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
· Proven analytical abilities and able to work at an abstract level.
· Demonstrated understanding in requirements definition and management techniques including business process, use case, work flow and data modeling.
· Experience with relational databases. Data modeling and data mining experience desirable.
· Experience with applying custom system development methodologies.
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
· Knowledge of SharePoint would be an asset.
· Experience leading projects and initiatives would be considered an asset.
· Bilingual French/English would be considered an asset.
