Job Summary:
Execusource International on behalf of their client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst – Category Management individual. You as the Financial Analyst will assist in building data driven solutions to business problems and discover information hidden in vast amounts of data to ensure the client will make optimal business decisions.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Support Category Leadership with Decision Support Solutions
Category Management is responsible for full P&L, sales, margin, growth and strategy of designated product categories * Continue to develop the analytical backbone of category management, through current and new analytical / business intelligence tools
Design, manage, and run customized reporting for category directors and executives * Organize, prepare, and maintain large, complex datasets for analysis
Develop a deep knowledge of commodity markets trends and behaviour
Help the evolution of a results oriented and robust category management strategy
Implement robust data visualization to support analytical objectives
Integrate and develop simulation and modeling tactics in support of category management
Ensure category objectives align with corporate objectives
Support strategic planning, demand management, supply management, and performance management / benchmarking
Must thrive at working collaboratively with Category Directors to achieve category goals
Create automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
Leverage analytical insights to develop actionable items for improvement
Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for all levels of category management activities
Use data sources to develop regular and ad hoc reports to include out of stock, opportunity gap, SKU rationalization, promotion analysis, pricing studies, market studies, financial performance
Communicate effectively for levels of the organization

Qualifications and Skills:
Related Bachelor’s Degree in, but not limited to, business, finance, commerce, mathematics, computer science or analytics
An understanding of database technologies, logical and physical data structuring and modeling
Working knowledge of Software systems
Experience with ERPs (preferably MS Navision), Advanced Excel and Database skills (SQL, MS Access, JET reporting or other), exposure to Business Intelligence Tools * Strong financial acumen
Ability to think through the impact of master data on analysis
Resourcefulness, proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse environment with sensitivity and respect
Participate in multiple projects and tasks, with constantly changing priorities and evolving issues
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues with discretion
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences
Proactively manage conflict in sensitive situations
Ability to work independently and self-starter

Working Conditions:
Generally work in an office environment
Periodically cross the border to the US office
