Business Development Specialists serve as the company’s principal agents of new client acquisition and ensuring the client pool and mix are always growing.

You will work out of our Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario offices as our "customer’s preferred service provider” ensuring Brave Control Solutions is the customer’s first choice for service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Generate new business and growing new accounts across North America
  • Evaluate and target potential customer opportunities within the market place
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate multiple vertical markets (e.g. education, health care, industrial and commercial buildings)
  • Focus on building relationships with corporate and plant contacts and vendor partners to develop new business
  • Actively participate in the promotion of Brave through networking events, trade shows, professional associations
  • Translate customer needs & requirements to internal teams for estimation purposes
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Operations teams to prepare detailed cost estimates
  • Deliver customized proposed solutions directly to customers
  • Pro-actively negotiate favorable T & Cs with clients on project timing and payment terms and scope that maximize Brave’s utilization, cash flow and margin realization. Assist with collections on projects where required
  • Document and communicate clear project requirements to Operations and the wider organization as required
  • Identify & communicate potential project risks or other factors which might impact customer relationships and customer satisfaction
  • Execute all work in accordance with Brave’s policies and procedures
  • Communicates with and works with the other team members consistently to improve Brave’s overall operations

    Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Business or related field of study or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of previous account development, sales or related experience required
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Shows initiative – engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities
  • Very adaptable – responds effectively to change; ability to influence others and build consensus
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic selling or large account management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to travel in U.S., Canada and Mexico required
  • Knowledge and understanding of IIOT principles, technologies and solutions is an asset
